I recently had an art show in Glastonbury, England (Avalon!) and returned very inspired! One place I visited (twice!) was the ruin of Glastonbury Abbey - the abbey has been rebuilt and destroyed several times over since the 7th century and now stands as beautiful ruins. This is a painting of an angel (in a classic medieval Angel pose) in front of the Abbey ruins -and I've given a nod to St. Michael's tower on the Tor in an imaginary geography version of the layout (you can't really see it from this angle of the ruins, but I thought it'd be kinda of an idealized view of the city). The birds are English Robins - which I learned about after seeing them pictured all over the UK - they are quite different birds than our USA Robins, little and chubby, and are harbingers of Winter rather than our Spring. So I thought it'd be appropriate since this will be kinda of a wintry painting. The fruits & flowers she is holding are the holy thorn of Glastonbury (a type of hawthorn that grows only there). These fine art fairy prints are made from my own original acrylic painting. Open Edition prints are on glossy photo paper and measurements include a white mounting border. The 8.5"x11" size has a printed area of about 8"x10", and the 13"x19" size has a printed area around 12"x16". Canvas prints are Hand Embellished, measure about 11"x14" and are limited to an edition of 25. The copyright watermark does not appear in the actual print! See below for detail images.
