Work-in-progress! Finishing touches on the sixth painting in my series called “Stilleven” (Dutch word for “Still Life”) – intended for an upcoming show. My Stilleven series all feature “deconstructed” elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!) If you are interested in reserving the original painting, email me at [email protected] and inquiries will be indexed according to the order of response. This one is BIG and is going into a magnificent baroque frame with external measurments of 40″x36″ $7200 price. More info about the show later 😉 I will also have prints, posters & canvas prints at strangeling.com soon.

Original Acrylic Painting 16″x8″ $3300 AVAILABLE (will be at FaerieCon!)
This painting features one of my favourite creatures – trilobites! I collect their fossils, and enjoy painting pictures of them. Prehistoric creatures of the sea, no longer with us, but beautiful nonetheless (think of them as ancient horseshoe crabs). This beauty loves them too! Perhaps she’s a little sad about all the world’s creatures that are now extinct….. This painting is for another oracle deck project, a deck that will be all water-themed, being written by my two sisters Kachina Glenn and Amber Logan & being published by Blue Angel Publishing. I love this piece, be sure to look for it in my upcoming Water themed Oracle deck.
The original painting herself is 16″ high by 8″ wide and is on a 2″ deep birch cradled masonite panel (sides painted glossy black, gallery-style) – with a hanger on the back, all ready to hang on your wall. She is priced at $3300 – and can be purchased directly from me by emailing me at [email protected] – or if you prefer purchasing the original painting via eBay, it is in my eBay store here
Limited Edition Canvas prints are available directly from me and are at Strangeling.com – 16×8″, $125, hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered out of 25 ever made, wrapped on wooden boards & ready-to-hang. Work-in-progress! Actually MANY works-in-progress for my “Tiny Treasures” – little 3×3″ original paintings that will be for sale at FaerieCon West this weekend. Available to FaerieCon attendees on a first-come, first-served basis (come early as you can – the show opens up at 12 noon on Friday to passholders, 1pm for the general public) at the Seattle Airport Doubletree by Hilton. I will be there all three days, but these tiny paintings (priced at only $195 each) tend to sell quickly! Feb 21-23rd in Seattle, come out & say hi if you can – I’ll have prints, books, oracle decks, etc. too.
Details about FaerieCon West are on my Event Page HERE
Work-in-progress! This painting features one of my favourite creatures – trilobites! I collect their fossils, and enjoy painting pictures of them. This beauty loves them too – this painting is for another oracle deck project, this deck is all water-themed, being written by my two sisters Kachina Glenn and Amber Logan & being published by Blue Angel Publishing. This piece is definitely coming along nicely, but many hours still to go – I’ve only roughly painted in the trilobites and still have a lot of work to do on her hair & face – If you are interested in the original painting, contact me at [email protected] – I am taking names for the “first dibs” list for direct sale from me, the artist. This original painting is acrylics on an 16×8, panel, will come gallery cradled – 2″ deep wooden sided masonite panel, and will be priced at around the $3300 mark depending on how long it takes me to finish. Collector inquiries will be given preference based on chronological order of contact, please put the words “Original Painting Inquiry” in your subject line so we are sure to see it!
Work-in-progress! This painting – “Snow White and Rose Red” is for my long-awaited Fairytale Oracle deck project with Lucy Cavendish & Blue Angel Publishing. As Snow White and Rose Red is about two peasant girls, this is intentionally a nod to William Bouguereau, 1800s French painter who is the master of peasant-girl paintings, hehe. These two sisters are shown early in the story (not to be confused with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – a completely unrelated story of a character with a similarly translated name, ahem), Snow White will have light clothing and hair, Rose Red will have darker, redder colours, and this will correspond with their two forest friends – a cardinal bird and a chickadee! Still many, many hours of work left.
If you are interested in the original painting, contact me at [email protected] – I am taking names for the “first dibs” list for direct sale from me, the artist. This original painting is acrylics on a 16×20, panel, will come in a nice woodsy frame, and will be priced at around the $6000 mark depending on how long it takes me to finish. Collector inquiries will be given preference based on chronological order of contact, please put the words “Original Painting Inquiry” in your subject line so we are sure to see it!
Work-in-progress! This painting – “Red Mask” is for an upcoming group show at the Eight And Sand Gallery in Seattle, WA – the theme of the show is “Red”, and I’m just now working on the bright RED facepaint mask of this lovely girl. Still got several hours of work to do on this one, but she is coming along nicely. The “Red” show will run from February 8-March 9 at Eight and Sand Gallery in Georgetown, Seattle. If you are interested in the original painting, contact the curator Alex at [email protected] – let her know you are interested in being on contact list for “Red Mask” by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. This original painting is acrylics on an 8×10 oval, will be in a silver frame and will be priced at $2200. While I won’t be able to attend the show opening in person unfortunately, I will however be coming to Seattle on February 21-23 for FaerieCon West, so if you are in the area definitely check out both events!
Sneak preview! I’m putting the final touches on “Alice in the Garden” – a new Disney painting I will be debuting at Disneyland’s WonderGround Gallery in Anaheim California (I’ll be there March 1st at 11am-1pm to sign autographs & debut my latest pieces for Disney). This is an original acrylic painting featuring Alice, the Cheshire Cat, flowers & more – just finishing up the “Bread & Butterflies” in this photo. This piece is ©Disney and a licensed Disney product. Details about the event are here:
It will be a very fun event, with some very fun new Disney paintings! (Don’t worry, Florida folks – I will be doing some Disney art for Disney World too very soon so stay tuned – a May 3rd event in FL!).
Hi everybody! Just a quick head’s up to let you all know that Matt & Jasmine will be out of town through January 16th. Most orders will ship out as usual, but orders with Limited Edition Canvas prints will have a delay of a few days (as Jasmine needs to hand paint them each individually they must wait until she returns home on the 16th). Thank you all so much!
“Stilleven V: Roemer”
11″x14″ Acrylic Painting $3800 – SOLD
Signed Prints (starting at $9.99) are here at Strangeling.com & yes, we ship worldwide! Hand embellished Limited Edition Canvases are also available on the same page, just use the drop-down box on the Fine Art Prints selector to choose the Canvas option.
“Stilleven V: Roemer” – the fifth in a series of works I have planned that feature “deconstructed” elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!). A “Roemer” refers to the wineglasses with the raspberry shaped prunts on the stems that are often featured prominently in Dutch paintings. A lot of fun details in this one, all popular elements included in famous Dutch still lifes. This is my own original acrylic painting, the original painting herself is sold, but I have prints, posters & other merchandise available!
Limited Edition Canvas prints are available directly from me and are at Strangeling.com – 11×14″, $125, hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered out of 25 ever made, wrapped on wooden boards & ready-to-hang. You can order the Limited Edition Canvas prints by using the Fine Art Prints drop down menu and choosing the Lt. Ed. Canvas option at strangeling.com here as well as the signed glossy paper photo prints (on sale this week only $9.99).
