Over the years I have been asked repeatedly by all of you for FRAMED or MATTED or READY-to-HANG artwork! And I understand completely - it is nice to receive artwork that is ready to just hang right up on the wall, without having to worry about buying a frame or taking it to a frameshop, spending lots of money, all that junk.
So, now I am VERY happy to be able to make this available to you! My Zazzle Print Store now has custom matting and framing options available - so many to choose from, to make things just perfect for you. A variety of sizes too - up to 78" - practically mural sized - great for really creating a striking ambience over a sofa! I have ordered from Zazzle myself when I want prints framed - it's cheaper and easier than having it done elsewhere or doing it myself, and the results are great! Below are step-by-step instructions on how to order a custom framed print! It's pretty easy, but if you're confused at all - just go step-by-step following my instructions below!
*Here you will see MANY prints of mine - all through Zazzle (my prints from Zazzle ship separately than strangeling.com orders - they have special big printers and they do all the custom framing).
*Have fun browsing through the different prints - there are pages and pages of them (at the bottom of each page you can hit "next" to see the next page).
*You can also search for a specific print using the search box, just type the title or part of the title and "print" or "poster" and you should find it! (and if not, email me and I'll put it there).
*When you see a print you'd like, just click on the image and it will open to that print's specific page.
*Here you can look closer and zoom in on the painting.
*In the upper right-hand corner of the page you will see a grey-ish box that says "Print Options". This is where you begin with your custom framed (or unframed) print!
*The first option in the box is a white tab that says "Size". There are many sizes available (many more than I can offer here, hehe) - from smaller "Portfolio" sizes to massive "Huge" or "Colossal" sizes. Pick your size - this is the size of the print itself (and the prices listed are for the unframed print so far).
*Next up is the second option in the box that says "Media". These are your paper choices, for the material the print is made of. The additional costs (if any) are indicated by each choice. For detailed information regarding different paper choices, read Zazzle's Print Information HERE (opens a new window). Select a paper type.
*Next is the FUN part! The third option in the box says "Framing". Here you can pick out a frame! If you don't want a frame (just a print), click the "no frame" box. If you do want a frame - keep going!
*At this point you will see several frame pictures (corners) on the right side of the box. These aren't your only choices, don't worry! Look on the left hand side of the box - this is how you can browse through the frames - by Price (smaller $$ is cheaper, bigger $$$$$$s are more expensive), or by Material, or by Style, or by Colour! Have fun browsing however you'd like, and find a nice frame. When you click on the frame pictures, you will see that the Zazzle print shown will magically have the frame on it. This will give you a good idea of how it will look! The different frame choices also have the additional price cost added right there. For information about that specific frame (width, material, etc.) hit the little "Info" link by the picture of that frame's corner.
*When you see a frame you want, click it!
*You will now see that there are some new pink/violet coloured tabs that have appeared at the bottom in the print options box - "Matting" and "Glass".
*Some people may like matting and if you do, you can add a mat! Actually, you can add up to THREE mats if you want, all different colours. If you want a mat, click the "Matting" tab and begin! Or, select "No Mat" if you change your mind.
*The types & colours of mats are sorted by material type such as Paper, Rag, Denim, etc. You can browse through the different mats by going through the material categories. The images of the matboard colours appear on the right side of the print options box. At the top of the box, you will see that there are three horizontal tabs - "Mat 1," "Mat 2" and "Mat 3". You can pick different colours for the Mat 1 (the big mat that is the largest, outside) and the interior Mat 2 & Mat 3 matting. Whether you have just one mat, or have it double or triple-matted, you can preview your colour choices on the big Zazzle print image by clicking on them. That way you can have a good idea of how it will all look! Have fun picking colours that will suit the painting as well as that will go well and complement the colours of the room in your house you'd like to hang your print!
*For info on a particular mat, just click the Zazzle "Info" link by each matboard preview. Keep in mind some matboard sizes are not available for all sizes and styles. If that mat colour/style is not available for the print/frame size/type you've picked, it will not let you choose it.
*And again, just select "No Mat" if you don't want a mat!
*Once you have the frame and/or matting you'd like, the "Glazing" tab will pop up. Glazing means glass! Or actually, it means clear acrylic plexi-glass which is actually much better and won't break in the mail, hehe. Here you can pick some glazing if you would like to, there are different choices - you can click the little yellow "?" question mark icons
to read Zazzles descriptions of each type. Or just leave it without if you don't want it.
*Now you are all done! Hit the big "Add to Cart" button at the lower right hand corner of your screen, and finish your order.
*I've ordered from them myself (it's just easier sometimes, lol) - and they do a marvelous job, and always pack very securely. Hope that helps!
