High Gothic style with a contemporary lowbrow twist! Three paintings in one - a triptych! It features a gothic angel in the central panel cradling a Mandrake root. Mandrake roots are often spell components and have a lot of mythology & superstition surrounding them. They grow "limbs" that almost give them a human like aspect. On the left panel there is a lovely rooty mandrake, and on the right panel there is a creepy skeletal visage and a bottle gourd (the liqueur made from mandrake roots - Mandragora - is often sold in a bottle gourd). This is my own original acrylic painting. My husband Matt did the woodwork on the original. **PLEASE NOTE: The original painting was oddly shaped and on wood, so I've put this print image on a solid white rectangular background for this flat photo print- so this way it would look great framed or matted in a standard frame OR custom matted. The open edition prints are on a white background as shown, the CANVAS prints are on a BLACK background (not shown). These prints are NOT FRAMED - the picture of the original frame is in the printed image on the print itself. These fine art fantasy prints are made from my own original acrylic painting. Open Edition prints are on glossy photo paper and measurements include a white mounting border. The 13"x19" paper size prints have a printed image of 12.5"x15" . Canvas prints are Hand Embellished, have a printed image of about 10.5"x12.5" on a BLACK background and are limited to an edition of 25 and are on a BLACK background with a white mounting border. The copyright watermark does not appear in the actual print! See below for detail images.
