"May Queen." Since it is an illustration for a magazine focusing on May Day (aka Beltane), it is chock-full of spring & summer imagery. The fairy May Queen is shown as a wheaten haired beauty with a daisy chain in her hair, against the sky of a summer night. She is surrounded by a bounty of leaves and beautiful bright flowers, and symbols of fertility and change of seasons (such as eggs, honeybees, moon phases, etc.). She's also accompanied by a handsome Jack-in-the-Green (aka a "green man") made of leaves with stag-like antlers. These fine art fairy prints are made from my own original acrylic painting. Open Edition prints are on glossy photo paper and measurements include a white mounting border. The 8.5"x11" size fits a standard 8"x10" frame, and the 13"x19" size fits a standard 12"x16" frame. Canvas prints are Hand Embellished, measure 11"x14" and are limited to an edition of 25. The copyright watermark does not appear in the actual print! See below for detail images.
