One of my favourite Charles Dickens characters, Miss Havisham is of course from "Great Expectations." Left at the altar by her fiance, Miss Havisham still wears her tattered wedding dress and stays locked indoors wtih the rotting wedding cake. I've portrayed her as a sympathetic character with a sweeter look, ghostly pale from beeing inside for so long, and black widow spiders crawling on her veil. My own original acrylic painting, this debuted at MegaCon 2012.
