Another lovely triptych! This features a beautiful fairy creature in the central panel surrounded by beautiful butterflies and autumn leaves. This piece is inspired by the butterflies of the Caligo genus, which through mimicry camouflage themselves with an owl-like pattern (down to the eyes!) on their wings. On the left panel there is a lovely hoot owl, and on the right panel there is a caligo butterfly with some autumn leaves. A the top of the central panel, forming a sort of "window" I have painted the sky with butterflies trailing off into the distance! This is my own original acrylic painting. Matt of course did the woodwork on the original. **PLEASE NOTE: The original painting was oddly shaped and on wood, so I've put this print image on a solid white rectangular background for this flat photo print- so this way it would look great framed or matted in a standard frame OR custom matted. The open edition prints are on a white background as shown, the CANVAS prints are on a BLACK background (not shown). These prints are NOT FRAMED - the picture of the original frame is in the printed image on the print itself. These fine art fantasy prints are made from my own original acrylic painting. Open Edition prints are on glossy photo paper and measurements include a white mounting border. The 13"x19" paper size prints have a printed image of 12"x18.5" . Canvas prints are Hand Embellished, have a printed image of about 10.5"x16" on a BLACK background and are limited to an edition of 25 and are on a BLACK background with a white mounting border. The copyright watermark does not appear in the actual print! See below for detail images.
