"Saint Catherine"- this was a privately commissioned painting of St. Catherine of Alexandria. A classic iconic image of the Saint, shown with the traditional "St. Catherine's wheel" (an instrument of her martyrdom). The colours in this piece are gorgeous, and her crown was done in gold leaf- similar to those in medieval and renaissance art. I love how you can see the sky up through the gothic "window" arches at the top! My husband Matt did the woodwork for the original piece. **PLEASE NOTE: The original painting was oddly shaped and on wood, so I've put this print image on a solid black rectangular background for this flat photo print- so this way it would look great framed or matted in a standard frame OR custom matted. The open edition prints are on a black background as shown, with a white mounting border the CANVAS prints are also on a BLACK background with white mounting border. These prints are NOT FRAMED - the picture of the original frame is in the printed image on the print itself. These fine art fantasy prints are made from my own original acrylic painting. Open Edition prints are on glossy photo paper and measurements include a white mounting border. The 13"x19" paper size prints have a printed image of 7.5"x18.5" . Canvas prints are Hand Embellished, have a printed image of about 7"x16.5" on a BLACK background and are limited to an edition of 25. The copyright watermark does not appear in the actual print!
