“Eve and Rib” sneak preview!

instagrameveandribwip
Work-in-progress! I’m working on the sequel to my “Strangeling” book, again featuring short stories – piece I’m painting now is an illustration for Matthew David Becket’s (my husband – here he is on Facebook ) short story (which will be published in the book, along again with stories by my sisters Kachina & Amber). The book will be out 2015 and is published by Blue Angel. This painting is called “Eve and Rib” – a clockwork fairy and her animated skeleton boyfriend in the forest – a lovely story indeed. The same characters appear in the book Matt recently finished (yet unpublished). This original painting is available for sale – if you are interested in purchasing it, email me at [email protected] with the subject line “Eve and Rib Original” – it is 12×16 acrylic on panel, will come in a spectacular ornate frame, and will be priced at $4400. Prints & canvases will be at strangeling.com soon!

More details about the Strangeling book will follow soon (and if you haven’t already gotten the first Strangeling art book, go get it HERE – deluxe hardcover version is at Amazon HERE and Strangeling.com too).

Work-in-Progress “Stardust Angel”

stardustangelwip

Work-in-progress!  Almost done – this painting – “Stardust Angel” is for an upcoming group show at the Eight and Sand Gallery in Seattle, WA – the theme of the show is “Stardust”, and I’m just now working on some of the glimmering stardust / galaxy imagery on this lovely girl.  The “Stardust” show will run from April 12-May 9 at Eight and Sand Gallery in Georgetown, Seattle. If you are interested in the original painting, contact the curator Alex at [email protected] – let her know you are interested in being on contact list for “Stardust Angel” by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. This original painting is acrylics on an 8×10 oval, will be in a silver frame and will be priced at $2200.

Stilleven V: Roemer and Important Ordering Info

Hi everybody!  Just a quick head’s up to let you all know that Matt & Jasmine will be out of town through January 16th.   Most orders will ship out as usual, but orders with Limited Edition Canvas prints will have a delay of a few days (as Jasmine needs to hand paint them each individually they must wait until she returns home on the 16th).  Thank you all so much!

“Stilleven V: Roemer”
11″x14″ Acrylic Painting $3800 – SOLD
Signed Prints (starting at $9.99) are here at Strangeling.com & yes, we ship worldwide!  Hand embellished Limited Edition Canvases are also available on the same page, just use the drop-down box on the Fine Art Prints selector to choose the Canvas option.

From Jasmine:
“Stilleven V: Roemer” – the fifth in a series of works I have planned that feature “deconstructed” elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!). A “Roemer” refers to the wineglasses with the raspberry shaped prunts on the stems that are often featured prominently in Dutch paintings. A lot of fun details in this one, all popular elements included in famous Dutch still lifes. This is my own original acrylic painting, the original painting herself is sold, but I have prints, posters & other merchandise available!

Limited Edition Canvas prints are available directly from me and are at Strangeling.com – 11×14″, $125, hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered out of 25 ever made, wrapped on wooden boards & ready-to-hang. You can order the Limited Edition Canvas prints by using the Fine Art Prints drop down menu and choosing the Lt. Ed. Canvas option at strangeling.com here as well as the signed glossy paper photo prints (on sale this week only $9.99).

Enjoy!
